A good Business Analyst would always validate what exists. To truly capture the needs of stakeholders they may deploy collaborative elicitation techniques, research or experiments. Irrespective of the technique, it is important to remember that our job as business analysts is to not only receive requirements from stakeholders that are said, but also capture unsaid requirements by asking probing questions.
