Introducing a new competency-based certification on agile business analysis from IIBA®. Launching in June 2018, the IIBA Agile Analysis Certification provides professionals with the next step in agile certification.
What can BAs do with this credential?
Central to the value business analysis provides to organizations, this new certification focuses on the core competency of business analysis: ANALYSIS when it is practiced in an agile context.
This new certification goes beyond the roles in common agile iterative approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, etc., and is based on the Agile Extension which was developed in collaboration between IIBA and the Agile Alliance. The Agile Extensionapplies effective business analysis with an agile mindset and a constant focus on delivering business value.
IIBA Agile Analysis Certification will recognize individuals who have mastered application of the seven principles of agile analysis across the three planning horizons: Strategy, Initiative and Delivery.
Who is it for?
IIBA Agile Analysis Certification is for professionals ready to demonstrate how effective analysis in an agile context leads to better business outcomes. It is specifically designed for:
- BA professionals with 2-5 years of Agile related experience
- Agile practitioners with 2-5 years of experience
Many of you already offer agile BA training. This represents a growing opportunity to provide a new offering and/or augment courses you are already providing.
Pre-requisites
There are no eligibility requirements. The exam will be scenario-based and will test a candidate's competencies in agile business analysis and principles of an agile mindset. The 2-hour exam will be offered via remote online proctoring and consists of 85 questions.
The exam was developed by IIBA in conjunction with a team of agile BA subject matter experts, both agile leaders and practitioners. It aligns with the IIBA Agile Extension to the BABOK®Guide, and other industry recognized resources.
